A series of six lectures on the archaeology of the Medieval period locally by Peter Liddle MBE – former County Archaeologist for Leicestershire. April 22: Medieval Leicester, Market Towns and Industry April 29: Medieval Villages and Fields May 6: Castles and Manor Houses May 13: The Church: Parish Churches And Chapels May 20: The Church: Religious Houses May 27: The End of the Medieval Period Prior booking is useful but not essential. Attend the whole course or just come to individual lectures. Light refreshments available.
